A True Gem in the Community — The Gettysburger Co. The Gettysburger Co. is everything a family‑owned restaurant should be: welcoming, genuine, and committed to excellence in every detail. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the pride and heart that this family pours into their business. It’s not just a place to eat — it’s a place where you’re treated like part of the family. Their hamburgers are truly top notch. You can taste the quality in every bite — fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned patties, and thoughtful combinations that elevate a classic favorite into something memorable. Whether you go for a signature burger or build your own, you can tell these recipes were crafted with care. What truly sets The Gettysburger Co. apart, though, is their outstanding customer service. This place gets a 10/5 simply because I told my son fell and I said the age old “have a nice trip” and a server passing by said “see you next fall.” We didn’t realize that this wasn’t quick service, but they were super efficient and the food was excellent. Also shout out to the guy who wasn’t our waiter, who helped grab us Togo boxes and such.
If you're looking for a good burger, you won't be disappointed! We ordered the Gettysburger (think Big Mac). Ask for extra sauce, the bread soaks it all up. 4 big smashburger patties, couldn't finish it. We also got the chili, which was great if you like sweeter sauce. The sidewinder fries are like super chunky curly fries, perfect to hold toppings. I got the pulled pork and jalapenos - very generous portion.
While driving through Gettysburg we looked for a place to grab lunch in town. Gettysburger had a great atmosphere and delicious burgers. The half pound burgers were thick and had a lot of flavor. I especially appreciated the fries not having a lot of salt on them with the option to add your own. Fries can sometimes be over loaded with salt. Would highly recommend for a laid back lunch with a great drink selection.
The awesome selection of burgers and the hand fries are spectacular. It had a family owned vibe, and had many beverage selections alcohol and non alcohol type. If you are looking for a hidden gem. Give this place a try. Also it was really great they has a unisex bathroom and one specifically for females.
