Lightner Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Lightner Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast. From the moment we arrived, we knew this would be a special stay. The atmosphere is outstanding, and you are immediately pulled back in time. We loved the location since you are just outside of town you didn't have to contend with the noise, lack of parking and congestion.||Our host was outstanding – not only welcoming and attentive, but also an excellent resource for information about the Gettysburg area. His knowledge of local attractions and history truly enhanced our visit. My wife and I have stayed here twice now, and each time has been stellar! The farmhouse itself is beautiful and Steven and Theresa are world class hosts! They are very knowledgeable about the history of the house and surrounding areas, and can also provide you many recommendations should you need help filling in your schedule of daily activities. Breakfast is served from 8am to 9am and everything we had was delicious! I am not a morning person, but I still make sure to be up in time for breakfast here! It is a shame I can only rate up to 5 stars, because the Lightner House, and Steven and Theresa, warrant way more! We are already planning our next stay!

This place is beautiful and cozy. Lovely ground with very friendly and accommodating owners on site. Their breakfasts were wonderful. In fact, it was the best food we tasted in all of Gettysburg. The location was so close to everything. And all we could have needed was provided to us in the rooms. We are anxious to go back in the future!

Steven and Theresa were such lovely hosts. The bed and breakfast has so much fascinating history, and the location is prime to Gettysburg. Rooms were very clean, and nice. Breakfast was absolutely phenomenal. One of the best breakfasts I've had. If ever in the Gettysburg area, highly recommend.

Steven and his wife Theresa were amazing. My fiancé and I ended up checking in very late due to traffic, but Steven was more than communicative and stayed up to make sure we were able to enter the house as soon as we got there! Breakfast was delicious every morning. Steven was also veryy helpful and securing a private battlefield tour last minute! This is the perfect place to stay for a true authentic experience. I could not recommend it more! Great hosts and very close to everything.
