The Gaslight Inn

Tucked in a quieter section of Gettysburg’s downtown, this quaint bed and breakfast provided the perfect get away for my partner and I. We stayed two nights. Walking distance within minutes of plenty of restaurants and shopping, as well as plenty of historical sights. The room was very clean, bed was comfy, and access to a balcony was a nice addition. Michael provided us with excellent service and breakfast on both mornings was very delicious. Snacks and cookies provided in the common areas were certainly a plus. Will definitely be returning.

Our stay at The Gaslight Inn was to be an anniversary get away but an unexpected ER visit and hospital stay made us cancel the night before. The hosts graciously refunded in the form of a gift certificate even though the cancellation was made with such a short notice & outside of their policy terms. |We ended up rebooking the week before Christmas and throughly enjoyed shopping at the many fantastic shops within walking distance from the Inn! We even chose to walk to the Farnsworth House for dinner. The free parking at the Gaslight enabled us to do this.|The accommodations were lovely. We stayed in the June Rose Room. The Gaslight is awesome. Perfect location, very comfortable and spacious rooms and the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. If you are visiting Gettysburg you don’t need to look at other hotels. Just book this and you’ll be very happy you did. Very quiet even with a full house. Delicious breakfast and all the snacks and drinks you could ask for. Stop looking ….just book it!

The Gettysburg Inn was fine overall, but not particularly memorable. The location is convenient for visiting the battlefield and nearby attractions, which is probably its strongest point. The room was clean, but felt dated and a bit worn for the price. Basic amenities were available, though nothing stood out as especially comfortable or well-maintained. Noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms was noticeable, which made it harder to fully relax. Staff interactions were polite but fairly minimal, and service felt functional rather than welcoming. Breakfast and common areas were acceptable, but again, nothing that really elevated the experience

This is a wonderful B&B in a perfect location for a visit to Gettysburg. The owners go out of their way to ensure a positive experience. The property is well maintained and the rooms are clean and peaceful. Breakfast was a delight during each of our three day stay. The owners even make a little sweet baked treat each day, that we enjoyed in the evening. The location is a very short walk to the roundabout, bars, restaurants and shops. Thank you to the owners Michael and Jennifer for working so hard to offer a secure, trusted and peaceful place to rest after an active day of enjoying all that makes Gettysburg PA so meaningful.
