The Elmhurst Inn

Cheryl was great! She’s an amazing host! Location of her inn in perfect! Central to basically everting on the island. We stayed in the Cranberry Isles room and it was very nice. Breakfast every morning was delicious and they really cater to your dietary needs! We got breakfast sandwiches from them the day we left because it was so early and it was just the sweetest! Very accommodating and kind!

What a cozy experience and a lovely stay. The location could not be better, within walking distance to anything in Bar Harbor proper and very close to the Acadia trails nearby. The bed was super comfortable and the water pressure was amazing. The tap water is oddly delicious and crystal clear. Cheryl prepared us egg sandwiches on English muffins with cheese and spinach to-go every morning, fairly early, before our first hikes. They were honestly delicious, the English muffin tasted homemade. She packed us a breakfast bag always with extra fruit and a pastry (different each day). We stayed in the Bass Harbor Head room which was super cozy and located toward the end of the hall which felt very nestled. It was super quiet and peaceful. There was always hot coffee and an array of tea available

I loved it!! The host was very nice and friendly, the breakfast and breakfast room was so so cute and offered amazing selections. The bed was VERY comfortable. Wished we could have used the fireplace but she said they were changing to electric and weren’t in use at the moment. The tea time was so fun and such a nice touch. Pretty close to Main Street, we walked every night for dinner which wasn’t bad at all. 10/10 recommend visiting here!

The perfect place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor. Easy access by foot to downtown, yet in a spot that makes driving to Acadia a breeze. The room was lovely, and breakfast was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be staying again if I’m ever lucky enough to make it back to Bar Harbor!

We had another wonderful stay at the Elmhurst Inn last week. Cheryl is the consummate host. She makes sure that we have everything we need to make our stay comfortable. The morning breakfasts are amazing! We love being able to have a choice of the two offerings each day and everything comes out delicious and hot. None of that pre-packaged junk that other B&Bs are starting to move to. Our room was comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend the Cadillac Suite! The Inn is perfectly located with plenty of parking. Just park your car and walk around town to the many restaurants and shops. It’s also just a short walk to the Village Green where you can catch the free Island Explorer to Acadia National Park. We highly recommend taking the Island Explorer to Acadia as the parking is pretty much i
