The Maples Inn Bed & Breakfast

Kind of a mixed bag here. Jen is a great host. The Inn is nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good and nice to have options. The location is about a 4 block walk to the shops and restaurants, close enough to walk yet far enough to be quiet. Our room, White Birch, is on the second floor. Beautiful hardwood floors and the bathroom looks to be recently updated. Antique furnishings. White Birch is actually a bedroom, bath and sitting room. The bedroom is too small for luggage, so the sitting room was nice to have. The bathroom is very tight, especially the shower. The street the Maples Inn is full of properties that need improving, or at least cleaning up the yard. The Inn falls into this category, too, but don’t be too quick to judge by its outside appearance. I would like to give it 4.5 sta

Jen was an absolutely amazing host—warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive to every detail. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast she prepared was not only delicious but clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. It was the perfect start to each day. The location of the property couldn’t have been better—close to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend Jen’s place to anyone visiting the area!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Maples Inn. Jen was such a wonderful host. And the Inn is in a great location - not in the center of town but just a short walk to everything. There’s coffee, tea, juices, water and snacks in the foyer available 24/7. Our room was not the largest available but was fine for us. Parking can be a little bit of a challenge depending on when you arrive. It was very easy access to Acadia. Jen provides great guide books for the park. And be sure to try Tap and Barrel in town for really great beer and a fantastic selection of bourbon!

Jen is a great host! Super friendly, made delicious breakfasts, keeps the inn nice and clean, and very accommodating. We left at 6:30 this morning, and Jen made breakfast sandwiches to go for us so we wouldn’t go hungry! Plus the location is great, a few minutes walk to downtown.

Really nice place to stay for both spending time in town or in Acadia. Breakfast acts as a great pick-me-up for hikes during the day. Jen is super attentive and responds quickly to any requests for the room.
