Really awesome restaurant—you can tell everything is cooked with love. We especially enjoyed the bean appetizer, and highly recommend all the dishes. The schnitzel, drunken shrimp, haddock, and curry mussels were standouts. The ambience is beautiful and comfortable, and our server Debby was wonderfully kind. We truly enjoyed our time here!
Literally, one of the best places I have ever eaten at in my entire life! Mind you, I am a world traveler. We ordered the French onion soup, and the shrimp appetizer. For dinner, we ordered the Schnitzel and Bone in pork chop. We also ordered two drinks. A margarita and an old-fashioned. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very cozy and intimate. I loved the old music that was playing in the restaurant and our waitress Debbie was great! She was super knowledgeable on the menu and had a great sense of humor. When it comes to the food, the French onion soup was so tasty! The croutons were cooked to perfection and the cheese on top was melted so it would just string from the bowl to the spoon. The shrimp and crostini were in a delicious cream sauce and the shrimps were a decent size. The
We had an amazing meal! The special halibut and NY strip were delicious. Drinks were great. Hope we can come back soon :)
A good walk from Bar Harbor center but the menu looked delicious so we wanted to try it! We both got the chicken coq au vin. It was very tasty, and a good portion size, though some of our chicken was a bit undercooked and my mashed potatoes were no longer warm when the dish came out. Our main complaint was with the service; we tried calling to make a reservation three times and were redirected to a voicemail that couldn't accept messages. We then went as soon as they opened to get a seat, and they told us the only seats were at the bar or to make a reservation for a different day entirely. At the bar no one took our order for at least 20 minutes and we were waiting a fairly long time for the food too. Overall, the food was pretty good but the place is small and don't expect to get a seat w
An exceptional culinary experience from start to finish. The meal began with the Coconut Green Curry Mussels—an outstanding dish with a broth that was truly remarkable. For the main course, I had the Belfast Lawyer, which was both flavorful and expertly prepared. The accompanying risotto was cooked to perfection and complemented the dish beautifully.
