Sweeter than SAP

I had been following Sweeter Than SAP for a while now, but tonight I was finally able to check them out for their cinnamon roll bar. The place was packed and had a line out the door, but the staff knew what they were doing. They had three staff stationed along the counters filling orders, maintaining their station of 6 flavors each. You didn't want one of the first six, you got handed off to the next staff member. You wanted two from the first, she'd grab them and hand you off. Then they had two people refilling trays and the rolls got low, and a fifth person working the register. No cross contamination of touching food then handling money. Best part - these rolls are TO DIE FOR. I drove 2 hrs from work to pick them up, and then an hour and a half home. I lived in Northern Virginia for 24 years and STS far exceeds most of the bakers there. I have ordered cakes, cookies, cinnamon roll bread pudding, and cupcakes from here and bought the eclairs and other items over the counter. It is to die for, all of it. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

Amazing find! We had Gettysburg Baking Co. on our list but didn’t realize they would be closed on Sunday. So I pulled up other bakeries and saw Sweeter than Sap and read her reviews! This is such a great bakery. Very clean, neat, organized, and of course smelled amazing when we walked in. We had some tough decisions to make! I got the tiramisu bites and baklava, my boyfriend got a brownie and cinnamon bun. The baklava was soooo delicious and the perfect balance of sweet and crunchy! Seriously, I wish I grabbed 3 more slices!

I have been a customer of Sweeter than Saps since before she even opened store front. A favorite of our families are the cinnamon rolls, peanut butter brownies, cake jars, cheesecake, and her cupcakes. Honestly I have not been disappointed with anything I have tried here.
