Canterbury Suites B&B

I don’t think I could have checked in to a better place to stay for my visit to Maine. Martha and Tim are spectacular hosts! Very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable about places to see while you are in town. Their breakfast will brighten your morning! I highly recommend. There is beauty and peace found inside and outside, with space to relax. My room was clean and comfortable for my stay, I slept very well. The location also gives you access to so many stores and restaurants too! From experience to convenience, it was well worth my stay. Bonus points for the cute and well behaved pooches in this pet friendly B&B.

Our entire stay was perfect. It is a beautiful and spacious space. The owners are lovely and down to earth. The bonus was their two friendly and gentle dogs. Hammy is gently bouncy. Echo is a total sweetheart. Breakfast each morning was delicious and a little different and so filling. We will be back. Bathroom and closet are large. The chairs were wonderful for reading. They are in a prime location. The yard is beautiful. The beds were comfortable. We highly recommend. We want to be able to come back here.

Lovely B&B in a great location, walkable to all the restaurants and downtown. Our room was huge with a very comfortable king bed and a spacious shower that even my 6’3” husband could enjoy. Breakfast was tasty and the hosts were warm and welcoming. That said, for the price point (around $400/night), we expected a bit more value, small touches like bottled water or similar gestures would have been appreciated. Also, breakfast timing could have been communicated more clearly, as all guests eat together at the same set time. A little flexibility would make the experience even better. Overall, still a very nice stay.

We stayed at Canterbury Suites this past weekend and cannot recommend it enough. The residence looks newly remodeled with quality design/furnishings throughout and Martha & Tim (and their dogs Echo and Hamilton) were wonderful hosts. It is clean, spacious, private, and in an unreal location in town. The private parking saves you money while not sacrificing convenience. It felt more like staying with old friends than a hotel or air bnb. We will definitely be looking to stay at Canterbury any time we are back in Bar Harbor.

I really can't say enough about how great our stay at Canterbury Suites B&B was. They nailed everything! The inn itself is very thoughtfully laid out, and the rooms are custom built to provide an exceptional experience. The beds are comfortable and rooms spotless. The amount of natural light, privacy, information, comfort, noise--all perfect. The location is a short walk (3-5 minutes at a casual pace) to the village green, putting all of downtown Bar Harbor within walking distance. Add in the convenient parking and it's the recipe for a hassle-free vacation in an area where driving and parking can easily be BIG hassle. The hosts, Tim and Martha, are really the highlight of the stay. They've been in the business for a while and it shows. They strike a great balance of giving guests their
