Brasserie LeBrun

We came because somebody the night before, told us, she loved it so much that went several times on the same visit. She was right - we did the same thing!! The best restaurant we tried on this visit to Bar Harbor. The tuna tartar probably the best I’ve had in the US, steak and fish dishes we tried on two evenings were perfect, dining room spacious and welcoming with different styles of seating. The servers were knowledgeable and friendly but not intrusive! Highly recommended! !!! On the second night they had live jazz which is not something I’d associate with a restaurant at that level - but it worked!!

We came here on a lark, it’s our lifestyle. Don’t judge us. All of life is lived on a whim. The hostess always sets the tonefor the night and this one could not have been more on point. Sweet Caroline gave us the perfect table to accommodate my service dog. Much appreciated. Our server, Stevie, actually had to pick my dinner because they were just too many freaking great choices. And also, he chose my wine. Sometimes a girl can’t decide. If you are on the fence of whether or not to come here, do. Immediately, today, right now. We shared the escargot for appetizer, I had the halibut and dried prosciutto dish, hubby had the ribbon bone with potato purée. Outrageously delicious.

We had an amazing dining experience at Brasserie LeBrun in Bar Harbor! 🌟 From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Our waitress, Diana, was absolutely fantastic — attentive, friendly, and made the evening even more special. I had the duck, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, while my wife enjoyed the halibut, which was fresh and beautifully prepared. Both dishes were outstanding and truly memorable. If you’re in Bar Harbor and looking for a wonderful meal with excellent service, we highly recommend Brasserie LeBrun. We can’t wait to go back! 🥂

Elegant French brasserie in Bar Harbor, perfect for an upscale dinner. We loved all of our plates. A few dishes felt pricey for the portion size (the pork belly was delicious but only three small bites or same for the mushrooms side at 16$ ), and the fries with the steak frites were too salty. Still, good overall experience and atmosphere.

Excellent food and service. I started with the Lobster Bisque which included pieces of lobster that were about half of a lobster tail - very nice. My entree was the Duck L'Orange which was also excellent. The duck breast was tasty and not overcooked. For dessert, I had the Creme Brulee which was superb. Service was great and professional. Decor is nicely curated and consistent with clean bathrooms.
