I enjoyed this restaurant. I had oysters and crab balls for appetizers. I wasn't a fan of the fried crab balls, but the oysters were great. For my entree, I had the crab imperial. It was a lot better than the seafood imperial I had at AJ's across the street. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They have a nice view of the marsh that you can see from several tables or check out from the back deck.
One of the highlights to our visit to Chincoteague Island in Virginia was our dinner at The Village. My daughter and her family came with us so we were able to sample a wide variety of the food. Favorites were the clam strips, shrimp (the coconut shrimp was particularly good) and the crab cakes. The Mahi Mahi was a little bland (should've gone with the blackened option) and the fried oysters were good but just good. Portions were nice sized with good tasting sides. Fresh bread was served at the beginning, still warm and soft. We had a friendly, helpful waitress - very conscientious. The atmosphere was comfortable and family friendly. The pricing was moderate, especially for a seafood experience. We all enjoyed it, from the 7 year old twins to the old people on the other end of the
The NY Strip Steak, Blackened Flounder, and Seafood Stuffed Tomato were all excellent and I highly recommend them. The Vegetable Stir-fry with Scallops added not so much as it lacked the variety of vegetables found in typical stir-fry and ended up being a bowl of mainly rice and green beans with a couple of scallops. The service was great and they were very accommodating to someone with a shellfish alergy in our party. Reservations were easy and they even answered their phone and answered our questions and took our reservations during non open hours on the same day. We were sat in a timely manner. I highly recommend The Village!
Took my family here. We were promptly seated and treated with smiles. The restaurant was nice with some great views. The tables are far apart from each other and didn't feel crowded at all. My wife and I love the bowl of cream of crab soup. The table loved the Calamari, great light breading and perfectly fried. Good size portion too. My wife and I enjoyed the broiled seafood platter. My grandson loved the fried clams. Of site free parking, but can be tight or overflowing.
We went there tonight without a reservation.. they seated us anyhow very quickly. Our server, Maddie, was awesome... she helped us m as ke our dinner selections and was very attentive to our needs. The food was served quickly and was very good. We will return the next time we are in the area
