Drop In Sandwich Shop

This quickly became my favorite spot for lunch! They are open more than some other places and have the most incredible sandwiches. Vegetarian options exist and it's a park and walk up window then you can sit at the tables next to the water. There's a decent amount of parking in the gravel lot but be warned no bathrooms, so plan ahead. I got the D'Avacado BLT on day and the feta/avacado Vegetarian option another. Portion sizes are generous and bread is super fresh and tasty.

Finally somewhere with an amazing and healthy sandwich. I got the Sunset Ave, on sourdough. The lemon basil dressing was sooo good! This will definitely be my go to from now on! So excited for what's to come. Super nice owner! Update; last week wasn't enough so I'm back. Service is top notch! Food is so good and beautifully presented. This is definitely 1 of my top 2 favorite spots on the island! New pics added of avo toast and The Coastal.

I would have to say that after trying several sandwich places on our vacation in Chincoteague that The Drop In Sandwich Shop has the best sandwiches on the island! After trying a few this was the place I most wanted to return to for lunch. The Tower 26 was delicious and was packed with meat, crisp and delicious veggies and a ripe flavorful tomato! The setting is beautiful by the water and the service was great as well.

We tried Drop In for the first time earlier this week. The sandwiches were so good that I had to go back today! So far we tried the Shore Thing and the Wipeout, which is the special this week. The sauces are fantastic and everything is so fresh. The iced teas were also made fresh and to order. They’ll make them sweet or unsweetened. We did jasmine and green.

We’re very happy to see our beloved Sea Star building now home to another spot offering delicious sandwiches, salads, and other treats! They also have Vietnamese iced coffee & inspired rice dishes, freshly made teas, and other snacks 😋 It's a great option for to-go orders or dining outside. Now offering online ordering.
