Channel Bass Inn and Restaurant

We did not stay at the inn but dined at the restaurant for their fixed menu dinner. We had the crab bisque, cocktail shrimp and scallop, pear Arugula salad, Rockfish, Beef tenderloin, and the Basque Cheesecake. Each course was made to perfection! The complimentary tea was also a delightful touch! Our dining experience was a 10/10. Our waiter Ken did a phenomenal job hosting us!

This was our first visit to the inn and it was a birthday celebration for me. Over 100 years old, it is very charming. The accommodations were very comfortable and the breakfast, which is part of the package, was delicious and varied each day. The 5-course dinner was a lovely surprise! Each course was so well done, from appetizer to dessert. We will definitely make a return visit.

We found the hotel through BringFido and glad we did. The staff were not just dog friendly, but rather welcoming to our little companion. It made for a relaxed and fun stay for all of us. ||The inn is lovely and interesting. Our room was a large suite with sitting room, table and couch, smallish but nicely done bathroom. A/C in the room, but we didn't need it at night with the sea breeze in the window. We had the prix fixe dinner, which we enjoyed quite a lot. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wine and coffee/tea available in the lobby.||The public areas of the inn, while more than comfortable, need some love - carpets, paint etc. but unless you are very fussy, it shouldn't have an effect on your stay.

First I want to say, the breakfast and service was always great. In our room, both chairs had huge stains on them and were filthy. I couldn’t even sit in them. The carpet leading to the upstairs was also filthy. We stayed here many years. We will now seek a different place to stay on our yearly visits due to the neglected cleaning and price increase.

We received a phone call at 12 pm requesting to know when our arrival time was so our room would be ready - we replied that we would be arriving at 2 pm. When we arrived a little past 2, our room was not ready. The woman who "greeted" us at the door seemed like she was very overwhelmed and turned around. She asked what room we were in and when given the name she laughed/snickered and said oh boy. When one of my travel companions asked why she laughed like that, she then said the room wasn't ready, but she just needed 25 minutes. We agreed to 25 minutes and hung out in the living room. 2 hours later, the room was still not ready for us, and we had 0 communication from anyone at the inn.
