Tempura Thursdays is the new Taco Tuesdays! Yes, a Mexican restaurant that serves authentic Japanese tempura on Thursday nights! I heard Manny used to be head chef at Teshima's and that's all I needed to know. The side order of shrimp tempura came with two shrimp, and one piece each of zucchini, eggplant, sweet potato, and kabocha pumpkin tempura! It was exactly as I remembered it tasting as a child growing up going to Teshima's: light crispy batter and perfectly cooked. I also tried their cheese pupusa and they are gigantic and packs as much flavor as their size. The red sauce it comes with is HOT and so tasty and the cheese has a nice pull and fresh taste. Also reheats well on the stove if you don't finish it all. The pork chops are really good too. They have indoor and outdoor dining,

Just an all-around lovely local Mexican restaurant with delicious food and wonderful staff. Loved everything about it.

Had a late lunch here Sunday afternoon. I must say that I love the atmosphere of the store. We placed our order in the front, with the sweet young lady. They brought our platters out to us— best Mexican food I’ve ever had! We live in CA, and this beat any food I’ve had out here. The salsa is delicious, and flavors were great. Many thanks to Manny’s kitchen for their delicious food. When we come back, we will be visiting frequently!
