Kona Bayview Inn

This is the best place to stay when visiting the Big Island. Set above a macadamia orchard with a great view of the ocean below, this bed and breakfast gives one a true taste of the Aloha spirit. I have returned 4 times, and have recommended this place to friends and family. The hosts, Sharon and Thomas, are wonderful. They are happy to share their knowledge of the island – such as favorite snorkeling spots and hiking trails. They are also very knowledgeable about the history of the island. There are just 2 comfortable rooms to rent, and both open to the lanai looking towards the ocean. And the breakfasts! Sharon and Thomas prepare a delicious meal each morning which starts with an array of local fruits. The meal includes both a hot entrée and fresh baked item, often featuring food

This place is magical! The beds are comfy, the shower was hot, and the room was clean. I'm sorry they didn't have any rooms with two beds, but we made it work (obviously we weren't a couple), but the place was quiet and serene (except for the critters making noise when we were dozing off to sleep), the dog was super friendly (I wanted to take her home with me) and the kitties were just entertaining. We just loved Thomas and Sharon, so accommodating and communicative. Thomas gave us lots of advise about the area, what to do and where to shop, super appreciated all his recommendations. And the breakfasts were out of this world! One morning we had berry french toast with coconut, the other morning we had home made banana bread with this spam and rice casserole. Super yummy, oh yea both

This is a bed and breakfast not to miss! The thing that makes this B and B so amazing is the kind and friendly proprietors sharing their home and giving everything a personal touch. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The view of the bay from your room is simply beautiful. Comfortable seating outside your room and under a roof allows you to enjoy this amazing view any time of day. Breakfast is amazing with local exotic fruits grown on the farm served daily along with home cooked entrees. Breakfast is served on this scenic veranda, and served by the proprietors who are always happy to offer suggestions for your travel itinerary. They were very kind and this B and B is very special! Don’t miss this one.

Have stayed here multiple times and keep coming back for good reason. Location is beautiful, rooms are clean, quiet and well kept, and the hosts, Thomas and Sharon, are great people. Hands down the best breakfast and view of any bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Hope to make it back here again soon!

Great 2-day stay at Kona Bayview B&B. The room are spacious, the view is wonderful, the homemade breakfast is delicious ! I really recommend this place!
