My husband and I shared our Big Island Stay for the last three days with Rebecca and Peter. Quiet, laid back, easy hosts. Our room was very nice, comfortable and private. We had use of a great panoramic view of the entire hillside from their very comfortable deck. We were looking to relax before returning to stateside, so this was just the ticket. The morning breakfast was delicious and the hosts politely engaging. Rebecca's homemade passion butter was wonderful!||They were very knowledgeable regarding all the local beaches, places to eat and places to visit. Their recommendations pointed out area favorites and made our visit all the more interesting.||Be prepared: this is a hillside home, and the winding road to the driveway needs careful attention. This is especially important f

We spent four nights here over New Years and it was a great experience. It's a bit tricky to find but there are obvious signs posted on the main road and you'll have no problem as long as you pay attention. Rebecca and Keith were very welcoming and kind hosts and had lots of good local recommendations for us. The view from the lanai and the home-grown fruit salad at breakfast were particular high points. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet weekend on the big island.

The place was difficult to find and when we did our room had been opened for us . After contacting Rebecca , I had to get information on the internet as there were not one instruction about the place . Also, she said there was no need to lock out place up . And would not give us a code . She said it was safe . We were not apart of the B and B with most rooms . Ours suite was below and separate. When I asked her about breakfast I was told it was not included . I sent her a picture of the description where it said we received breakfast . Oh well . During our three nights there , we were the only people at Kona Palace. The views were spectacular, but the garbage had not been picked up and the place was dirty . Example , floors and some glassware . Plus the toilet . This is the fi

this B&B is situated in a semi-rural area, very quiet & owner/host Rebecca is very helpful and an excellent cook – sleeping is wonderful because the sounds of tropical birds and the interesting sound of the very tiny and unseen frog population are very tranquil – you won’t be disappointed here. The view of the ocean from the Lanai breakfast table is quite nice also.

First, the good. The view is tremendous. That's it. Rebecca was a terrible host. I called her when we first got to the property and she answered the phone "What?" Took me so by surprise I started to laugh. There was no one at the property, there wasn't a welcome letter that told you the Internet password or anything else with the house. When my wife asked how we lock up (because there was no key), her response was you don't. So for our stay when we went to explore there was no locking the room or locking the room at night. The place was a mess. A dryer outside was filled with clothes. There was an oven that was filthy that was also outside. Best yet was the bbq which was a rust bucket. The place was filthy inside. Also the place was advertised as a b&b. We paid for a b&b. Rebecca was not v
