Winter Street Inn

An excellent stay in a lovely B&B. Roger and his three beautiful King Charles Spaniels will welcome you heartily to this centrally located house near downtown and next to Ohio Wesleyan University. I stayed in the carriage house with its eclectic furniture and skylight to awaken you. Excellent place to stay for business or pleasure.

My good friend from out of town booked this lovely inn to stay at while visiting me here. I didn't get the chance to stay overnight, however Rodger (one of the hosts) was kind enough to allow me to hang about the house every day. It truly is a wonderful place that is flawlessly kept to its original character. It's incredibly rare to find such a beautifully preserved gem these days. If you have any appreciation for historical buildings and objects, you'd do yourself an immense favor coming here. The entire house is filled with interesting antiques; quite fitting as the hosts run the Delaware Antique Mall. There is also a serene garden on the property. My boyfriend and I have stayed in the Carriage house twice, the visits were three weeks apart because we loved the place so much !! Roger is a great host and very kind! I personally live very close to this place and have always wanted to stay here ! It feels like taking a trip back in time and the Carriage house is like your own personal apartment. We love the balcony! The only problem was there's a bees nest out there, so we couldn't leave the balcony doors open like we wanted or fully enjoy being up there. I'm looking forward to fall and early winter booking again and being able to enjoy the open concept balcony! Over all this place is amazing, I have not stayed in the other rooms but definitely recommend the Carriage house! Especially if you love vintage style and antiques like we do <3

Good stay & breakfast, would stop there again. The cottage offers large and private accommodation and unusual decor. There's an old house odor that did not bother my husband but I was very aware. Main house areas were interesting and cluttered with boxes and personal items. Our host was friendly and breakfast tasty, although he was interrupted constantly by phone calls. If you stay here you're treated like one of the family, so don't expect formality. It was a treat to be so close to stores and restaurants for an evening stroll. Nice town!

We loved the carriage house accommodations! There was a lovely skylight directly above the king sized bed, through which we could see the constellation Orion as we went to sleep. The living room had a couple of lovely huge overstuffed chairs, and a huge comfy sofa. There was a nice glass dining table in the kitchen nook with refrigerator and Keurig. The only things missing to make it the perfect room, was a gas fireplace and had I brought my own half and half for my morning coffee. Roger made a delicious breakfast at the time we chose, and it was served in the main house dining room. We will definitely stay here again.
