Gabby's Italian Restaurant

Wow, what a surprise! Great food yes! We drive by this restaurant frequently and always see that the parking lot is packed. Every time we say that must be a good restaurant. Well we made plans to drive by and stop in and what a pleasure. We had one of their small pan pizzas that was absolutely the best pizza that we both have ever had. What a surprise we’re coming back! The salad was good. The service was great. We got there at about 6 PM. Definitely do not go later. There was only one parking spot left. By the time we left at 7 PM there were people standing at the door, waiting to be seated and people standing at the door waiting for their to go orders.

This is one of those dive bar finds that you can't miss. It's a small shop, but they offer pure gold. I'm picky about my Italian food because I'm from northeast Ohio, but this place has exactly what you need for a fantastic Italian fix. We got the grinder sub, Caesar salad, and meatball sub (add pepperoni). Everything was freshly made and extremely tasty. They also have excellent whiskey selections for the aficionado in need of a fix. I'll be going back and sampling everything they make. You can bet on it.

❤️ GIVE THIS ONE A TRY‼️ We were at Ohio Wesleyan University for a baseball double header yesterday. Local friends recommended this restaurant. My father-in-law pulled up in front of it and said “this looks sketchy. We’re not staying here”. Lol. We told him to drive around back. Granted, the back parking lot lights were out, so it was dark. Smelled delicious when we walked in. We had two chicken Parmesan’s. A large pizza, an order of cheesy breadsticks, a soft pretzel, and a couple of salads. Everything was delicious! 😋 We had leftovers to take home.

We came here on Valentine’s Day because everywhere else was packed and we prefer to support local in anyway — even if it’s out of town. 1) The restaurant interior is really homey, warm, and unique. We enjoyed the atmosphere. 2) The workers were very helpful and attentive! 3) The Stromboli was fire 🤤 4) The charcuterie board was also unique! 5) The ONLY reason why I put 4 for food was because we ordered the Alfredo and it wasn’t very good. I’m being constructive with this review in hopes that it helps bring light to maybe some input that some people won’t I’ve. The Alfredo had egg noodles and gave me the texture of chicken noodles or beef and noodles which isn’t good with Alfredo. In addition, the chicken tasted reheated / refrigerated. The sauce was on point!

Wow is all i can say. I wanted to love this place but was incredibly dissatisfied. Bartenders are awful. They just sit and flirt at the bar and ignore customers. Waited for over 20 minutes for my drink that was not good. I watched others deal with the same. Food took even longer and was awful. Sandwiches were burnt, pizza was under cooked. Manager did not know what she was doing at all. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money!!
