Village Pizza of Nags Head

I visited Village Pizza in Nagpur recently and I honestly had such a good experience. The pizza was really really good. What I loved the most was the baking. The base was perfectly baked and fully brown underneath, not half white or undercooked like we usually see in many places. It was evenly baked, nicely crisp at the bottom and still soft inside. I have tried so many pizzas before but I have honestly never seen this kind of perfect baking. You can actually tell they care about how they make it. We also tried the knots and they were pretty good too. Soft, fresh and full of flavor. Everything tasted freshly made and that made a big difference. The ambience is really nice and comfortable. First of all- I am a pizza snob. Don't hate me- I'm from Jersey- it's in my DNA to know good pizza. THIS is good pizza. Damn good pizza. I live in Virginia. Sadly, it's now my favorite pizza. We ordered the pepperoni pizza (with lite pep cuz ya know, BP meds) with a side of homemade hot honey for a lttle drizz. It was outstanding. Their garlic knots are divine and their salad with their homemade dressing was perfect! The customer service we received from Scot was stellar. This place has amazing views of the sound too. A gem of a spot and we can't wait to return!!!

I want to preface my review by saying I have celiac disease. A severe autoimmune reaction to gluten. I heard good things about Village Pizza and wanted to try it. I stopped in and chatted with Scott for a while about his precautions. He is very obviously passionate about his food and works extremely hard to make sure everyone has something to eat. I wish I could write this more than once— it’s the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of pizza in my life. 100% hands down the best. No weird gluten free texture, awesome sauce to crust ratio. Clean ingredients. I’m very lucky to live close so I can get it whenever I want! I came here due to a glowing recommendation from a friend who tried their pizza while on vacation so when I came to visit I had to stop by and see if it was really worth the hype. Let me tell you it SO WORTH IT! The staff was so friendly and we got to chat with the owner who was incredibly sweet, everything was clean and had a great atmosphere. The margarita pizza was to die for but the Sicilian bread knots are worth fighting for! My partner and I tried both the garlic and Sicilian knots and were still debating which was better on the drive home. I would recommend Village Pizza to anyone looking for local quality dining.

Stopped by Village Pizza of Nags Head after visiting the dunes and it was the perfect spot to grab a bite. The pizza was fresh, hot, and full of flavor with a really good crust. We also tried the garlic knots and they were amazing. The staff was friendly and the whole place had a relaxed beach-town vibe. It’s a great little local spot to recharge after walking the dunes or spending time outside. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in Nags Head!
