Surfin' Spoon Frozen Yogurt Bar

This was the neatest little place to get some yummy treats! The setting and decor was very unique! The seating was welcoming and comfortable. They had money tucked into the walls, which my kids thought was so interesting. They had lots of different flavors of frozen yogurt, including dairy free flavors! They also had a huge assortment of ice cream sandwiches! I love how they have a case just for vegan and gluten free ice cream sandwiches!

This place is super cute and well decorated. It’s adorable! We loved the self serve bar with frozen yogurt, gelato, and sorbet. They have unique flavors and tons of toppings. It’s really well priced. I got a full cup for $5. They also have ice cream cookie sandwiches. I highly recommend this place!!

There are many ice cream places around OBX in this area. But I don't know that I have found any other frozen yogurt places. If you are familiar with Sweet Frog or TCBY this is a similar setup only much much more popular. Even during weekdays anytime after about 6:00 p.m. the line goes out the door and down the ramp and good luck finding a parking space. If you're with family and friends while you're in line it probably won't even seem that long because you'll be busy yapping. Once you get near the top of the porch there is a sign that gives you an estimation about how long you have left to wait in line and once you get inside, depending on what time of the year it is if they haven't cleaned it up recently, every possible nook and cranny that people have found they have stuck money. My favorite dessert place of all the ones we tried on our trip. Very unique decor, great flavors and toppings, and they have an ongoing fundraiser for Autism. Loved!

Fun experience. Family friendly and the frozen yogurt is delicious. The money on the walls is for helping those with autism. You can enjoy and sweet treat and support a worthy cause.
