Tugboat Restaurant

The tugboat restaurant had a great location, the dining room overlooking Boothbay Harbor. The outside is actually the look of a renovated tugboat in the inside is a typical dark wood seaside restaurant with lots of windows overlooking the bay. I had a grilled scallop dinner and the scallops were done to perfection And there must’ve been 15 to 20 in the bowl. My wife loved their lobster bisque and she was very happy with their Caesar salad. The prices were fair. The service was decent. The view was wonderful. This was definitely a great place for lunch and would definitely returnanytime. I visit Boothbay Harbor again.

On vacation in Boothbay, Me and went to Tugboat Restaurant for dinner. Very unique place, in an old vintage Tugboat and most tables have a view of the harbor, decorated very nautical looking. Was seated immediately and our waitress approached us, told us the specials and took our beverage order. I ordered the Fried Shrimp plate and hub ordered the baked Haddock with crab stuffing topped with Newburg sauce. Dinners came in a timely fashion and were piping hot and inviting. My shrimp were cooked perfectly and they gave you a large portion, delicious!! Hub really enjoyed his baked haddock, it was a generous portion as well but he finished it. Awesome food, awesome view, awesome service. Harry took great care of us. It was Father's Day and the restaurant was packed. Harry took our orders and the food and drink came quickly. The cocktail was really good. Best lobster bisque I've ever had. Steamers were excellent. The seafood medley was super fresh and tasty. It was such a memorable dinner.

Loved our late lunch here - the mussels were amazing. We had the broiled lobster in butter - fair price. The food was great - the deck was quiet and warm.

The food was good. Wished the famous Tugboat meal actually was cooked in a Tugboat as it said on the menu but thats OK. Could have used a little garlic to put it over the top.
