Best. Subs. Ever. Perfect ratio of bread/meats/veggies/flavors, large portions. Yes, I ate half of it before taking a picture, it was just that good. The "Godfather" is my absolute favorite. They bake their bread fresh daily, and I love the consistency with which they serve their food. Lovely "speakeasy" in the back, too. Highly recommend it!

Fresh daily baked sub rolls and quality fresh ingredients made for a delicious sub 😋 The owner (I believe ) was very nice,accommodating and service was top class. If you’re looking for a delicious sub and great service this is the place ! Oh and in the afternoon there is a whiskey bar out back 😉 Will be back every year we visit the area!

This place SERIOUSLY undersells themselves— The ingredients were fresh and plentiful, our sandwich was well-composed, filling and delicious. (There is a very large selection of hot sauces if you’re into that.) The only affordable fare in town by a long shot— we were charged under $10 for a foot long sub! And don’t get me started on their whiskey selection. The sign says “beer and wine,” but this shop has an EXQUISITE whiskey bar in the back, with an extensive list of flight options. In the back by the bar, the ambiance is like the “captain’s cabin” in an old ship—lots of dark wood and leather chairs with a lovely view of the bay.

The Neat Whiskey bar in the back is a really nice touch! But Marcel’s really shines with their subs, including a $20 Fresh Maine Lobster Roll that is served on fresh bread baked daily by Marcel himself. Pop in for great conversation, a tasty sub and amazing whiskey or cocktail of your choice.

Service, rolls and veggies were great but the meat (roast beef) on my "gym shoe" was sparse. I did not see any "fresh roasted meats" it all appears to be the deli-loaf sliced type. My wife said her salad was great but mostly lettuce. Fresh roasted beef, turkey and chicken would make a great addition to their wonderful rolls and veggies.
