It is my birthday and I really wanted a steak for dinner. My husband look and found most places didn't have steak. Except here... we quickly realized most places closed early except here:) I am a very very picky eater and the bartender/server did such a amazing job filling my requests and making it happen. We didn't tell her it was my birthday but I promise I felt like a queen with her willingness to get me what I wanted. Her lemondrop was to die for, and the steak mash potatoes with cheese and a side of Mac was probably the best steak meal I've had in a while. Such a amazing experience. We had such a great evening at the Sandbar! A group of friends and I went out for dinner and drinks, and everything about the experience was wonderful. Our waitress, Heather who is also the front of house manager was fantastic. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about both the menu and drink options. She made great suggestions and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. The head chef, Vince, even came by our table to check on us, which was such a nice personal touch. He was very friendly and clearly takes pride in the food coming out of his kitchen. Honestly, if you are going to eat anywhere in Long Beach, it should be here. Our table ordered seven dishes. Every single dish was fantastic. The pork belly was so good. My steak was cooked perfectly and was so tender. Fantastic whiskey menu and the gluten free options are so so good. We'll be back for sure..

My wife and I came for our 33rd anniversary dinner. The PNW crab sushi roll was amazing. Very fresh ingredients and fresh crab. We ordered a second one. I had the NY strip steak which was very good. I have a difficult time finding a good steak at a restaurant. This one was very flavorful and cooked to perfection.

Had a wonderful dinner here! Almost everything on the menu is gluten-free (only about 4 items aren’t, and they’re clearly marked). It was such a relief to order without worrying whether the sauce or sides had hidden gluten. Our server, Haley, was amazing—friendly, genuine, and spent time chatting with us.
