My husband surprised me with an overnight at The Hugh. The home & decor is very pretty, our room was very nice; however, we were very disappointed with the breakfast for a bed & breakfast! 😞 There were only 2 options - turkey bacon, egg, & cheese on a small bun or pancakes. We read good reviews about breakfast and were really excited about staying at this B & B, but the breakfast DID NOT MATCH the place TODAY! Very upsetting and confusing because it has a highly rated restaurant 🤔

My daughter and I came to spend a night for her cheer competition. I know there are a lot of wonderful places to choose from in the area, but I picked this one because of how beautiful it is. We had a lovely stay. The location is great. It’s right near the shops and just a short walk to the beach. I didn’t have to drive anywhere. My favorite part was the amazing breakfast. I had one of those meals that I’ll think about forever. I would come again for that alone. We’ll definitely be back!

Without a shadow of a doubt.... the meanest owner of any establishment I have ever met. In fact Sandy Vizzone might just be one of the rudest people I have ever met in my entire life. Please get the heck out of the hospitality industry!!! You have a personality best fit for the DMV. I'd sooner sleep on the street.

I don’t normally write reviews online, but Hughs blew my expectations out of the water so here goes! From the moment my girlfriend and I couldn’t find parking and John let us park in their driveway to unpack and settle in, we felt more like family than guests. This was our first time in Cape May, and every time we went on a walk and passed other bed and breakfasts, all we could say was “I like our place better”. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, John is extremely accommodating and delightful and made sure we had what we needed at all times. The room was beautiful, we stayed in the ivory room and loved the privacy of the 3rd floor and the character inside the room (and the air conditioning which was so refreshing every time we came back to the room). As for the area, the bed and breakfa

Our Rose room was small and the bathroom really tiny but all comfortable. The venue is really delightful- colonial/Victorian and very central location, just steps to Washington Mall, parking next door. Dinner at their restaurant, Maison Bleue, was superb with their French chef. Owners Sandy and John Vizzione were super friendly and hospitable, and made our stay there a lovely experience.
