The Bacchus Inn Bed & Breakfast

My fiancée and I have stayed at Bacchus twice now, and highly recommend it to anyone. The central location is perfect to reach all the best spots in Cape May. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have an elegant Victorian design. John, the owner, is an amazing host and conversation. We really enjoyed the daily wine, cheese, and crackers in the evening. You can enjoy these alone in your room or join fellow guests on the porch. Recommended to join the porch crowd, as you will make some awesome connections.

My husband and I have stayed at The Bacchus Inn for about 20 years and have always had a wonderful time. The rooms are comfortable and clean and have many amenities including shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, etc. The breakfasts are very tasty...love the eggs hollandaise! (scrambled eggs are available, too) We love chatting with other guests on the porch especially during wine and cheese. It is just a short walk to the beach and most restaurants. John, the owner, is very personable and helpful. I highly recommend The Bacchus Inn!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights during a mini vacation to Cape May. Absolutely a gem. John - the innkeeper - was an incredible host. He was always available, knowledgeable, interactive, energetic, and engaged. You can tell he really loves what he does and makes every effort for the guests to have a great time. Breakfast was great - really nice to just wake up and have a meal there with the other guests to get to know them. We even get apps and wine during the afternoon which is a very welcomed treat after a day of sun and adventure. Our room was comfy and spacious enough. We also had beach towels and beach chairs available which was great! Had an easy parking spot in the back which was so convenient. We really loved our time there and are thankful that John helped make us fee

We stayed in this Inn in 2015 when we got married in Cape May and we were excited to stay again to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We booked a room for July back in February and since then tried different ways to communicate with the owners to see if there was space on the property to keep our expensive bikes (during our first stay our room included the room with on-site parking, this time it did not). We left 2 voice mails, sent 2 emails and an online form and never heard back. We only heard back (the very next day) when we sent a cancellation request. The owner said that it is very safe in Cape May and we could have kept our bikes with them and in the same email confirmed our cancellation, did not even apologize for not getting back to us and did not ask if we still wanted to stay. We went for Memorial Day weekend. John was very friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the area, places to eat, see, beaches and parking. The room was very nice, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast was wonderful; with choices for every taste. It was the best price on Cape May for a holiday weekend. And it was close to everything; so once we parked, we didn't have to move the car. We definitely definitely recommend Bacchus Inn to anyone staying in Cape May.
