Southport Smoke House

I am writing to share what a wonderful experience I had at your restaurant while visiting my friend Missy in Southport for her birthday. It was a true pleasure to enjoy authentic Southern cooking that we simply cannot find back home in New Jersey. I ordered the combination plate with brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, and potato salad. The brisket and ribs were insanely tender and delicious. Beyond the food, the customer service was top-notch. I want to give a special shout-out to Miss Ashley, who served us with such kindness and grace. I will certainly be recommending your restaurant to others for both the exceptional food and the outstanding service

This is a cute hole in the wall smoke house. It is little, but it packs big flavor. We are definitely coming back when we are in town again. We had the brisket and it was packed full of flavor. You can definitely tell the pit master knows what he is doing. It was melt in your mouth tender and juicy. It deserves more then 5 stars.

This place was so good. I’ve had all the best Texas bbq and this place competes with it hands down. Their homemade sauces are amazing as well. Ribs and brisket were outstanding

Staff was super friendly! Pulled pork & buffalo chips were amazing. Wish I lived closer so I could try everything. I will definitely be looking for reasons to go to Southport now.

The pork was pretty good, we like that it’s not normal NC style pork and the sauce bar is an amazing addition to the entire experience. I can always appreciate a BBQ restaurant that has Alabama White sauce! Everything with the exception of the hush puppies (which if you don’t get these you’re doing it wrong, they’re the star of the show) needed a bit of salt but it was still good! The people working in this place are among some of the best we’ve encountered on our trips, and they alone warrant a visit for you and your family!
