Southport Carriage House Inn

We had the most wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Amy personally showed us around and made us feel completely at home. What truly set them apart was how accommodating and thoughtful they were. After my girls completed the Oak Island run, they graciously extended our checkout time and made sure breakfast was still available for us — something we appreciated more than they know. Amy and John were warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive to every detail. It’s rare to find a place that blends comfort with such heartfelt service. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special experience.

Highly recommend the Southport Carriage House Inn. Enjoyed the beautiful home lit inside and out with beautiful Christmas decorations. Every room with a beautiful decorated tree. Happy hour with charcuterie board with local cheese from the cheese shop right around the corner with a wonderful wine and beer selection.||This is our second stay here and may become a tradition every December for us. Enjoyed fresh coffee and breakfast before we checked out. Thank you Amy and John (and Whiskey) for sharing your beautiful inn with us.

What can we say about Southport Carriage House Bed & Breakfast? Dan, myself, Benji and Bella enjoyed and savored every moment of our stay with John. John was more than gracious and hospitable, and a great conversationalist! We had the pleasure of meeting his impressive daughter, Savannah too! The home was stunningly appointed, warm and inviting. Did I mention immaculate! Our room was beautiful, bright, cheerful and large! The Pinehurst Room bath with original floor tile?! Oh my! The home welcomes you with its charm to match that of John's unwavering commitment to hospitality. We look forward to our next visit and meeting Amy and Whiskey (the pup). Thank you. The Inn is ideally located adjacent to Southport's shopping area and a short walk to the Yacht Basin multiple restaurants. The rooms are spacious with convenient amenities, such as microwave, small refrigerator, and TV. Guests can enjoy causal morning coffee in the sunroom or afternoon streaming sports events in the nicely appointed living room. The hosts create a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere and assist the guests with their vast knowledge of the Southport area. The Inn housekeeping is immaculate.
