Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar

Beautiful restaurant. Large bar area included. Hot and sour soup very tasty. The shashimi platter was spot on with bonus seaweed wrapped fish and rice it was super filling and satisfying. Enjoyed every bite. Will be a local favorite!

My husband and I often order their food to be delivered and it’s always very good. Last night was fantastic thou… they made such a pretty display of our (delicious!!!) sushi. Their food is so good! Highly recommend!

I have no idea how I forgot to post a review when we visited on Oct 1 2025. I wanted sushi while we were on our honeymoon/birthday/family trip and I researched the area. I stumbled across Southport Gourmet and Sushi and I am so glad we chose to visit. I got an amazing roll along with 2 pieces of tuna nigiri and my husband got his usual shrimp tempura. The rolls were excellent and satisfied my need for my fav food. I would highly recommend stopping in. Our server was super nice and helpful, she recommended the roll I got as I wanted to try something new and it did not disappoint. Price was reasonable and would definitely eat here again the next time we are in southport. We felt welcomed and super cozy atmosphere

It's been a rough few weeks for small business owners in Southport since the storm and local road issues haven't helped. The other day instead of waiting in traffic I stopped in to check on a friend & fellow restaurant owner at Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar. Like me at The Saucy Southerner their daily business has been greatly affected and I had an idea I offered the owners. This was our first visit after other reviews seemed to be positive so, we decided to try it out. We are so glad we went! The service was great and, the food was fantastic. All of it had good portions, the flavor was great and, the prices were good. We will be back for sure, a lot‼️
