Single Fin Thai-Sushi Restaurant

We got take-out last night and had mixed reviews on the food. Fried calamari - my mom ignored me and ordered it anyway and it was undercooked and chewy. Lemongrass soup - flavor was ok but there was no lemongrass and only 2 shrimp. Good-sized portion. Red curry with tofu was pretty good. Hefty portion with lots of veggies and tofu. Seaweed salad was very good. Obviously, I just ran in to pick up the order, but the receptionist and the person behind the bar were both super friendly.

We got the stir fried eggplant and coconut soup as appetizers - both were amazing but the egg plant was a 10/10. Our meal were the cashew nut stir fry with chicken and then drunken noodle with chicken. Both were surprisingly delicious - we’re pretty picky with Thai food but they were great!!! We’ll definitely come back in the future.

Food was delicious. At lunch they had bento boxes available as well as sushi and hot food. I especially enjoyed the vegetables- they were perfectly cooked. Everything was very tasty. Staff was attentive and I can see this is a busy place for locals.

Our favorite restaurant in Nags Head! The menu has so many options for gluten free/dairy free and so many tasty options for my allergy-free husband. This restaurant has it all - absolutely delicious, flavorful, allergy/diet preference food and excellent servers! Our waitress was patient and friendly, provided great recommendations and substitutions. Our food came out quickly and was so well prepared. Portions are satisfying without being too much. I got the veggie fresh rolls with miso soup and my husband has the pork dumplings and general tso chicken. There’s so many more dishes we want to try and we will definitely be back. The ambiance is fun and casual but clean and sophisticated. The decor is tasteful. It’s a great date night or afternoon lunch.

You’ll regret it if you don’t go. 110% recommend especially if you have a gluten allergy. Ask for Lynette!! We came with 3 kiddo and she went above and beyond for all of us. She knew what we needed before we knew- example, she came with extra napkins, she brought out the GF soy sauce, she brought the kids “children’s chop sticks”, extra ketchup- she just went the extra step and it made for an unforgettable experience. She was extremely knowledgeable about everything gluten free and made ordering dinner a cakewalk. It was a little expensive but worth every penny. Our food was phenomenal and our service was even better.
