Saltwood House

I started coming to The Saltwood House, on historic Jackson Street, 20 years ago when it was a Bed and Breakfast! I continued to come when it became a guest house! Now, The Saltwood House is a whole house rental and I STILL continue to come!!!!!|The owner didn’t spare any amenities when he converted it! It sleeps 14 people and has on- site parking! This beautiful house is a half a block to the beach. It’s also steps away from the Washington Mall- shops, restaurants! |If you’re considering a vacation in Cape May with family or friends this is the house for you!

Beautiful restaurant with rooms located in a busy area of Cape Visited during a busy Sunday! Wait time was bearable. Staff friendly. Bar area with ample TVs to watch sports, etc. Live band on certain days. Highly recommend the "MANMOSA"! Ordered the shrimp bisque, which was the best I've had in years! Definitely will return at a less busy time to enjoy full menu.

Another perfect vacation at Saltwood House! No surprise to us as we have been frequent guests there since it was a celebrated B&B! What DID surprise us was the deftness with which they adapted the former B&B to a weekly rental destination! They managed to meld the Victorian charm, which was always embodied there, with all the modern touches that even the most finicky guest could ever require. How perfect for Cape May! Even more important is the level of cleanliness that they maintain. It is evident that this vacation treasure is cared for with love & we guests are the fortunate recipients of that care. Needless to say, we will be back!

After 20 years of visiting Cape May we have found the perfect B & B. Great location, comfortable clean rooms, the best breakfast served family style and on site parking made our stay so enjoyable. Don the owner and Erik the manager were gracious hosts. We were welcomed by the other guests and immediately felt included in the Saltwood family. The large beautiful front porch was one of a kind where we sat for hours with the other guests enjoying the view of Jackson Street. No need to look anywhere else. The Saltwood House is the best !!!!!|

My friend and I recently returned from our annual visit to Cape May and the Saltwood House. We have been staying there for about 17 yrs and would not stay anywhere else.Don and Erik do everything possible to make our stay perfect. The guest rooms are beautifully appointed with antiques,comfortable beds and soft fluffy towels.The breakfasts are delicious and we always look forward to the Cape May french toast!! The porch is a favorite spot with plenty of rocking chairs, perfect for relaxing.I can't imagine staying anywhere else and anyone who visits the Saltwood House will feel the same way!!
