Ridgefield Library

As a Ridgefield native and the owner of Rolling Suds Power Washing of Fairfield–Westchester, the Ridgefield Library has always been one of my favorite places in town. Growing up, it was a place to explore and learn — and now, it’s become one of my go-to work spots between jobs and client meetings in the area. The space is absolutely beautiful — bright, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of quiet corners and comfortable seating. It’s the perfect environment to focus, catch up on admin, or prep estimates for upcoming power washing or roof washing projects. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the library as a whole continues to be a real community hub, offering events, workshops, and resources for every age and interest. We love the kids library here and all the fun activities they have.

Literally not one person could help make copies of text I needed printed. 6 people all just chatting amongst themselves. Just pointing you to the printer. Obviously town doesn't need that many people sitting chatting and not helping. Off to staples I go! 45 years living here, I miss the librarians that used to be here. Super helpful, retired and now unhelpful has taken their place.

What a lovely place! The library itself is huge but still feels welcoming and cozy in all the right ways. I spent my time in the children's section and it was well organized by category of subject and type of reader. It was delightful to browse for books. The staff are all friendly and helpful, cheerful but also dedicated to making a wonderful library.

This library is possibly the weirdest, most unusually managed library i have ever seen. I come in, and all the computers are used! A librarian comes up to me and starts bombarding me with questions. I tell them i came to check my notifications on Discord. Uh oh, I'm not allowed to login to anything!! According to this Jane, logging in to anything is not allowed. We are only allowed to read about the library on these sophisticated machines that have access to 70% of all the information in the world!
