As a local business owner — I run Rolling Suds of Fairfield–Westchester, offering power washing and roof washing services throughout Ridgefield and Fairfield County — I’m constantly on the go and always looking for great local spots to fuel up between jobs. Genoa Deli has become one of my absolute favorites in the area. The sandwiches here are top-notch. Everything is fresh — from the bread to the meats to the house-made sides — and the portions are generous without being over the top. Whether it’s a classic Italian combo or one of their hot specials, you really can’t go wrong. It’s the kind of old-school deli that’s getting harder to find, with quality you can taste in every bite. The food is incredible time after time. We have eaten at Genoa many times in the 3 years we have lived in Ridgefield. Today, I decided to write a review because of the empathy and honesty during a difficult time. I placed an order yesterday for my daughter’s birthday party and paid for it ahead of time. Unfortunately, my daughter got very sick overnight and I had to cancel the party. I walked into Genoa as soon as they opened to cancel the order. Louie was behind the counter. I explained the situation and he immediately refunded me my money. Thank you for being so understanding and gracious. We will be back as usual.

A great CT family run Italian deli. The food has been consistently good for decades. I've never had a bad sandwich there. The hot prepared and cold prepared foods are also delicious.

The last time I was there, it was probably the worst sandwich I ever got from there. It’s usually very very good. Excellent. I usually get the godfather, but it was soggy. It was disgusting. Gross. I ate a little bit of it the next day I threw it out. I couldn’t eat it. It’s never been like this before. Everybody gets a bad day. I’ll try it one more time.

The food here is everything you hope for in an Italian deli and cafe plus the service is impressive! The crew here is like a well oiled machine. Don’t hesitate, just go!
