Phillips Drive-In

We loved this little place! Just like burger joints/drive-ins used to be. Burgers were excellent, along with onion rings, tator tots, and malt. My husband was so hungry I didn't get a picture of his food before he took a bite. Prices were good, and even though it was close to 100° we sat on the picnic tables under the covered area with fans. We will eat here again if we are ever in the area!!!

Passing through on my way home to New Orleans and got off this exit to find something to eat. I pulled in at the Jacks and after looking at the menu (never been there) I just wasn’t feeling it. So I decided to look on google to see what was in the area. I came across this place and after reading a few reviews and checking out the photos I decided to give them a try. I got a jumbo cheeseburger and a chili cheese hotdog. The hot dog was decent the chili was ok. I would definitely order one again so it wasn’t that bad just wasn’t the best. Guess I’m use to a different style of chili being from South Louisiana. Now the burger, I must say it was actually really really good. I definitely enjoyed the burger and it was pretty big also. Love this place!!! Great simple and delicious food. Always made to order, thus a bit of a wait, but worth it! Friendly staff and always other great folks to meet while you're waiting for your grub!

We came here for a quick bite to eat after getting into town. The burgers were amazing tasty! Just like you would expect in a drive in diner. Would recommend highly Just felt rushed by one of the employees at the window where you order. It seemed every 20 seconds he was slamming the window open and we would keep having to tell him no we were not ready and then finally the last slam open. Showed up just before closing and food was good, service was friendly and we enjoyed our time eating on the porch. Cheeseburger and BLT were as ordered and the fries and tots hot. I love a good malt and the chocolate malt they served up was rich and thick with a great malt flavor. If you haven’t already, give this place a shot. You won’t be disappointed.
