Wisteria Bed and Breakfast

The hospitality and welcoming staff makes Wisteria Place an amazing place to stay when in Laurel,MS. The rooms are well maintained with very comfortable beds. The Southern Breakfast is not to be missed…absolutely delicious! The location is perfect with easy access to downtown and the historic homes often featured on the HGTV Show Home Town. Enjoy sitting on the covered porch with coffee or favorite beverage. We will be back again!

My husband and I stayed at the Wisteria in September. We stayed Silas Gardiner Suite for two nights. The host, Mr. Earl was so nice and friendly. The suite was very nice and comfortable. They had bottled water available for us and he asked us what we wanted for breakfast for the first night because we were the only people there the first night. The next day another couple checked in and we had a very nice breakfast with them the next morning. |Mr. Earl is a fountain of information about the history of the place we were staying and of the town too. |We are big fans of the HGTV show, Home Town, and Mr. Earl had lots of information and that too. He told us that he was in the pilot episode. |We had a wonderful time there and would definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I had the most enjoyable 3 night 4 day stay In Laurel at the Wisteria Bed and Breakfast. As many other reviews have said Mr. Earl is an amazing host. We especially enjoyed the evenings sitting with Mr. Earl and the other guests enjoying a glass of wine on the large covered back porch while Mr. Earl entertained us with stories of the history of Laurel and the surrounding area. He and his wife lived in the Wisteria for over 50 years. The entire home is decorated with fascinating pictures, antiques, and collectibles that his wife collected over the years. Sadly his wife passed away a few months before our visit. Wisteria is located within an easy walking distance from Laurel, and the many homes and streets that were featured on Ben and Erin's 'Hometown' show. Kitty corner f

we had a wonderful time. This B&B is on the small side in terms of number of rooms, but that meant all the guests sat together at breakfast talking, with the owner Earl in the room as well.|And in true MS fashion, we all discovered connections. The other two couples grew up in the same small town in Illinois and knew their respective relatives.|Earl was at Ole Miss and friends with one of my law professors, who also became a friend of mine through golf. So stories were going all around the breakfast table.||Earl was a great host with a wealth of information about Laurel and its current most famous inhabitants. Earl was a great host and so enjoyable to talk to. We loved the way he sat with us and visited at breakfast. Earl also does all the cooking. We met 3 other couples and had the best time visiting with them and telling stories. It felt like we had known them all our life. The Wisteria is a beautiful home and has an interesting history. Downtown Laurel is a nice place to visit and make sure you go to the Scotsman Warehouse. You might get lucky and see Ben crafting some of his beautiful creations. By the way, Ben and Erin’s first home is right next door to the Wisteria.
