Oliver's on the Cape Fear

Great drinks. Decent food. The tuna appetizer is the best part. I have tried the soft crab sandwich but did not like it. Steak was pretty good. Definitely a must tru when in town.

Beautiful spot on the Cape Fear in Southport. This rustic venue has a great menu, large portions, great service and ambience. We had someone with a good allergy and I have never been to a restaurant that put such care into ensuring the food was made to order with no cross contamination!!! Just one note … The full salad is very large..

Walked by here many times but never stopped in. Did today and very happy we did. Great setting on the water and delicious food. Grilled Ceasar salad, salmon with risotto and catch of the day swordfish. All good.

We enjoyed our lunch. I had the shrimp and grits. I enjoyed the dish. The portion was smaller than I expected. My friend had the fall harvest salad. She got the larger portion. The salad was very delicious, and so was our choice of white balsamic dressing. We enjoyed our seat in the covered, heated patio area. We had a great view of the water. Cathy was an excellent server, and she provided great service.

I had such a wonderful experience. I came to visit Oliver’s because it’s the place where Jaime Sullivan and Landon Carter had their first date in A Walk to Remember. It was more than just a meal... Our server, Gina did an amazing job. Will come back next time.
