Maison Bleue Bistro

My family and I came to Maison Bleue Bistro while vacationing in Cape May for the first time and we had a wonderful experience. This converted Victorian home is a charming place for a nice dinner on the patio, or a romantic date inside with its beautiful fireplace, whimsical wallpaper, and candlelit lit atmosphere. The food is on the pricier side, to be sure, however we came during restaurant week and had a wonderful 3 course meal for $58 a person. The French themed restaurant serves food that is rich and decadent, with wonderful flavor. The mushroom “escargot” was a unique vegetarian version of the dish that was shockingly delicious and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. The service is professional and high end. All in all, Maison Bleue is a lovely place for a lovely dinner in Cape

We absolutely adore this place! The decor is top-notch, creating a romantic ambiance. The service is excellent, and the food, though not extensive in its selections, is all delicious. I ordered the roast chicken, and my husband opted for the Wagyu burger. Both dishes were tender and juicy, exactly as we had hoped. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I highly recommend it. By the way, if you do get there early, the outdoor porch is a great spot to sit and enjoy your wait time in style, and don’t let me forget to mention this place is BYOB.

First of all, food was great! Scallops were incredibly fresh and juicy, pâté flavorful and complimentary bread warm and mouthwatering. The rest was a little underwhelming: they had some issues with the music so half the dinner was spent in silence; they didn’t have anything special for a birthday apart from a candle they put on a desert we’ve ordered so I guess if we didn’t order it nothing would’ve been done to celebrate my husband’s birthday which I mentioned when making a reservation); service overall was a little sloppy at times. Biggest disappointment: 4% credit card surcharge was included into the bill - I can understand when little family-owned joints do that but when a restaurant charges $40 to $70 for the entrees, I believe they should not be pushing this additional expense on the

My fiancée and I have been to Maison Bleue multiple times and always have a fantastic meal and great time. We always like to sit outside on the veranda at nighttime. The flavors and colors are rich and beautiful and no matter what we order, it never disappoints. One of the lesser know items that is probably our favorite is the side of truffle frites. That is always the first thing we grab when our mains are set down.

Honestly every dish is well cooked and seasoned so very delicious, but the duck confit we had as a special dish that day is next level!!! The waiters and waitresses are all super friendly, especially to our baby :)
