Highlander

Awesome! In town for work and this small town doesn't have a lot and I was tired of the gas station pizza! Got the monaray hero and it was fantastic perfect size bread was soft and they have real hots and the pickles was very good. Also go the mozzarella moons great cheese pull and the pink dip was awesome not sure what it is lol staff was friendly and helpful inside was very nice also over all a 10/10 keep it up! Side note good price!

If you find yourself in Monterey, you absolutely have to stop by Highlander. This place is a true hidden gem for anyone who appreciates a cozy atmosphere and genuine hospitality. It’s perfectly situated right in the heart of town on Main Street, making it super easy to find. The service is top-notch; the staff is incredibly attentive and makes you feel like you’re visiting old friends. The interior is very comfortable and has a relaxing vibe that makes you want to linger. The food is outstanding and everything tastes so fresh. It’s definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area

This is a combination visitor Center and restaurant. The food is pretty good and the service is great. It has a lot of information about the local area and things to do nearby. There are not a lot of other places to eat around here and get gas as well so this little town is a good place to stop.

Adorable little gift shop and comfy dining room with big booths. Menu has a solid selection of pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. Personally, I appreciated the cauliflower crust pizza available for gluten sensitive folks. Lots of great toppings available as well. Great stop on a road trip from Snowshoe back to D.C.

The Highlander is EXCELLENT! I had the Monterey Hero. This sandwich reminded me of my favorite sub shop in Nashville. The ingredients were top notch and the hot pepper relish was the perfect amount! Their coleslaw actually is the real deal. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
