Freda's Cafe

We sat outside, and the ambiance was lovely. We ordered the crab cakes marcus, and the beef Wellington — hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had! The service was excellent, and our server was incredibly sweet.

Fantastic! I came tonight with my sister, husband and 2-year old son and they were so warm and welcoming. Thank you Miss Cheryl! Everything was delicious, but the crab cakes were amazing! I was nervous about bringing my son in case he was disruptive, but everyone there couldn't have been nicer. We also loved the shumai dumplings, seafood bisque...and my son's housemade ravioli from the kids menu was also wonderful. Highly recommend and will be back!

I would give Freda's 10 stars! We had an absolutely fabulous dinner! Fresh, delicious and beautifully plated. We lucked out and walked in without a reservation and were able to grab the last available seat of the night. Next time we will make a reservation to be sure we don't miss out! The restaurant is very small but that's the charm! Our waitress was an absolute delight. I had the baked brie appetizer - amazing! For dinner we ordered the beef wellington and steak with bacon and it was fabulous! And be sure to save room for dessert!! Oh man, now I am craving Freda's! Highly recommend!

We happened upon Freda’s by chance after just arriving in Cape May and we had an amazing experience! We each enjoyed different soup specials and split the crab cake entree. The food was incredible and the ambience of sitting on the patio was delightful! A special thanks to our server Eddie who made us feel welcomed!

The most delicious crab cakes I’ve ever tried. Cozy atmosphere. Lovely restaurant and friendly staff. Was rather quick service too.
