The bagels are so good that we stock up so we can have them at home too. I’m not saying it’s the same as a New York/New Jersey bagel, but I am saying it’s just as delicious as the best you can find in nyc/nj, more so actually. The flavor and texture are both unreal. We love the plain and the cheddar pepper. And the owner is lovely.
Such a cozy place to grab a delicious, homemade bagel!
Craving something sweet, I came across DiCocoa’s while walking down Main St exploring. This business is a residential house storefront style really enhancing the feelings of being away in a quaint Maine town. Porch seating available with a walk-up window inside where you place your order. I inquired about the fan favorite flavors and Blueberry was one of the top contenders. While it was very good, it tasted more like Vanilla ice cream with a couple of blueberries in it. More blueberries with a creamier gelato texture would be preferred. Next we tried the Peanut Butter Fudge gelato which was very good and nutty with the gelato texture. Great place to grab a cold treat or create an ice cream sandwich with your choice of cookies and gelato.
What an absolutely adorable and charming place with an equally sweet and charming owner. We stopped in recently when visiting the area as hubby is always and forever seeking chocolate chip cookies. It was almost closing time and sadly there were no cookies left so we did take a bagel to go. We do not eat bagels often as we are foodies with very high expectations, however let me tell you that the cheddar pepper bagel was the best bagel I have hands down ever had in my life. So far there had been only 1 place in NJ that we would eat a bagel from and this bagel was other worldly. I do not know what she does but it was the perfect mix of a crisp exterior and a soft, beyond fresh and fluffy inside. We went back the next morning first thing before getting on the road to head home and luckily we
An amazing little bakery with fresh goods, great variety, and the most incredible Maple Latte that you never knew you needed. Fair warning, you'll be forever chasing the high of your first Maple Latte. The everything bagel and cheddar & pepper bagels are New York levels of perfect, especially when paired with one of their artisanal cream cheeses. I loved the jalapeno. One family member enjoyed the pesto while another savored the scallion cream cheese. We're here for a week and will definitely be back. I cannot be satisfied until their Maple Latte is running through my veins.
