What a disappointing dining experience. I can imagine this restaurant must have once served good French food but I get the impression they live off a past reputation and are no longer passionate about the food they serve. The menu is full of warnings too that sharing is not allowed and neither are deviations which should have been a warning sign. Seems to me we have some grumpy old restaurant owners who really ought to retire if they can’t hack it any longer. The steak tartare was very average. No tobasco available. The chicken with gratin dauphinois was a very small portion and tasted bland. Overpriced food and disappointing all round. I really don’t appreciate being served so called pommes dauphines which were straight from the freezer and not even hot or crisp. The only thing that was

Great French restaurant! They know how to speak to the customer, how to elevate the experience, and how to cook! The decor is also very nice. I had a soup of the day with Brussel sprouts and a duck confit and the food was delicious! Thank you, I had a great time!

Shepherd’s Pie was 99% mashed potatoes. They claimed it had veal. The few pieces were so small you’d need a magnifying glass to find it. That and a pate for $47 was a rip off. My complaint went nowhere. No problems with previous visits, but after this, no more dining there.

I’ve been coming to Greenport for a while and for some reason I never noticed this place. Oh if only I could get the time back. This place is phenomenal and authentic. The flavors are on point and every dish boils down to the bare essentials, of good ingredients and talented chefs. I am so excited to go back. The duck confit was beautifully crisp and tender. Wonderful meal and cozy atmosphere.

We ate here on a beautiful fall day. The porch is ideal for a day like that. It's simple French bistro fare. I had the croque monsieur and a salad, a nice light lunch.
