The Stirling House

We went to the Stirling House for a mini honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! It was exactly what we needed after the craziness leading up to the wedding. It was nice to wind down and relax. The place is so beautiful, right across from the water with great views and a very short walk to all that Greenport has to offer. We parked the car and never moved it. Clay was so nice and, OMG, what a chef!!!! His breakfasts were off the charts. The room was so comfortable and cozy and it was the perfect getaway.

We had such a wonderful stay at The Stirling House! The room was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully kept. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, and we especially loved enjoying the view of the water from the porch — the location is perfect. Clay, our host, was so kind and welcoming, and the little touches like fresh baked treats and afternoon snacks made us feel truly at home. Highly recommend this B&B for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

I cannot recommend the Stirling House enough! We stayed here this past weekend and I truly couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. The bed and breakfast’s owner, Clay was great, he was super friendly and really goes above and beyond. Not to mention, he’s a published chef and the breakfasts and desserts he made were incredible, some of the best food we ate in Greenport. I really appreciated his hospitality and warmth. The room itself was so cozy, everything was very clean and thoughtfully laid out. We had plenty of towels and the main area is stocked with tea, coffee, and plenty of snacks. The Stirling House was the cherry on top of an amazing weekend in Greenport. The host was super friendly, helpful, kind, and accommodating. He is also an excellent baker and chef who delivered some of the freshest, and downright best breakfasts I have had in a very long time. The food, provided snacks, and desserts (which were also baked fresh and left for guests individually) were all simply delightful.||The home itself feels warm and welcoming, it’s decorated nicely, and the rooms are beautiful. It has a wonderful location right by the water, and the porch has a stunning view of the dock. It’s perfect to enjoy a nice breakfast by the water. We needed a hotel in Greenport for a family wedding, and 6 of us stayed at the Stirling House. We loved our stay!! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the location was quiet and perfect (looking out over the water and just a few blocks to walk into town, which our 4 young adult family members appreciated), and the breakfasts were so delicious and generous!! Clay the proprietor/chef was the perfect host but never interfered with our family time, and we really enjoyed hanging out all together on the porch overlooking the water. We also were grateful for the fruit and other snacks that were available 24/7, since some of us arrived late at night and needed something. All in all we had a terrific experience.
