Cedar River Seafood, Starke

Went with a group so choice was limited. Had flounder and fries. Just ok. Waitresses were hard working and polite..

I must say that I was very disappointed in Cedar River Seafood / Starke Fl tonight. We vacation in South Florida every year and it has become a tradition to stay in Starke Fl for a restful night before starting out hectic vacation activities. Part of that tradition has been to have dinner at Cedar River seafood every time we come through the area. This is the first year my wife and I were disappointed. We got a combination consisting of Fried Clam Strips and Catfish with a side baked potato. In the past the clam strips were the best we had ever eaten. This year they were tiny little nuggets about the size and hardness of BB's. The catfish was ok but came as a very tiny serving. The baked potato, which came out of the kitchen when we were almost done with our meal, was so hard it could have

Stopped in and had dinner at this familiar eatery and really enjoyed it. Love the atmosphere.. very colorful with the plaques, photos and paintings. Food was very good. Nice portions and very flavorful. Thought at first pricey but considering the amount of fish you receive well worth it! Service was mostly good.. very talkative and helped us decide what to order when asked. Only complaint and why it’s 4 stars and not five was it was very dusty and the bathrooms were not too clean amd need a renovation. But can recommend and plan to return!

We always enjoy our visit. The hostess had our seats ready with tableware and drinks very quickly. Food came out fast and hot as always. I will recommend this place over the larger restaurants any day. I LOVE the fried green tomatoes 🟢
