Bradford County Library Association

I went to the library to work since my WiFi was down at home. As I walked in I noticed that all of the chairs at the work tables were solid wood. I knew they would hurt my back so I looked for a soft chair. I saw some retro chairs with ottomans, so I sat down, took out my computer, and got to work. One of the staff walked up to tell me that I couldn’t sit there because it’s the teen area and adults are not allowed. Whaaaaaat! It was the middle of the day on a weekday for crying out loud. Teens were in school!!!!! What in the world are people thinking? No adult section in the library!?!?!?!?!?!

We really enjoy this library, the staff and community are great and really try to make this community all the better with fun ideas and activities! I am a little discouraged however with the children's area and bringing my little ones as all the smaller kids toys have been eliminated, even crayons are no longer available the last few times we've gone. This is the only library within an hour of starke that I've seen with no hands on kids toys or stem toys. Just computers and books which just isn't realistic for kids 5 and under.

The staff is more than exceptional. I had a mess of paperwork , some one side, some 2 side. The copier was out of order. The staff took it to their copier, sorted, put it in order and your can go anywhere else - 10 cents a copy I can afford. Its clean and quiet. Lots of stuff to do there

It looks like a pretty good library. I cant wait to go check a book out to read.

I haven't been here for awhile, so I had forgotten what a beautiful library we have! Today I was on crutches, and the lovely ladies working were so sweet & helpful! One of them walked me directly to the subject I was looking for (after she first offered to go get them for me), and the other lady carried all the books I chose back to the counter to be checked out! Such kindness is to be rewarded and I was so grateful for theirs!
