Bruce & Son

Bruce & Son in Greenport was a must stop on our visit from Pennsylvania. My partners birthday breakfast was the perfect reason to go. We've tried and failed to get in during busier season visits. But we persevered and snagged the window table on a very cold January Saturday morning. Front of House Manager Dennis was also our server was a delightful guy. He helped us with our menu choices and asked if we were celebrating anything. Stephen acknowledged it was his birthday. We both ordered the Bourbon Lattes, then the Carrot Lox Sandwich, Bacon, Eggs and Cheese Sandwich and shared a side of Herbed Potatoes hit the table. The brunch itself was excellent, but I will add to the chorus of people here saying that they don’t appreciate the surcharge for the credit card. Even if it is noted somewhere, why? I understand that the credit companies are charging some businesses more, but please bake that into the menu, rather than charging a fee. I love brunch, and I’m willing to pay for a interesting brunch with lots of creative offerings, but, I have several friends who are cooks and servers who joke about brunch because they charge pretty decent prices for basically very inexpensive ingredients, hot cakes, potatoes, Coffee etc. So I’m assuming the profit margin on brunch should be pretty good. Give us a break and don’t charge the credit card fee. It’s not worth the bad will. Also, would they really rather have cash

A MUST in Greenport. Every time we’re in town we are sure to stop here for brunch. The egg sandwich is incredible - the sugar bacon, pickled onions, and dijonnaise just elevate this from a normal egg sandwich so something so flavorful. They also have a fun selection of coffees/teas. My husband is so picky with his bacon but he always says they make it perfectly. The staff is also very friendly and attentive.

Amazing farm fresh breakfast. We didn’t have a reservation, but they were able to fit us in. Services quick and attentive. We had the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was delicious. The food was so fresh and was absolutely delicious. Overall had an excellent experience here at Bruce and son.

Bruce has an incredible brunch. The summer succotash Is delicious… Also, the BLT cannot be beat. The sugar bacon is a must try. We also enjoy delicious latte, and iced green tea. The staff is happy and friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in Greenport!
