Customer Reviews
Highly recommend if you are looking for Ethiopian food or a new and unique cuisine. My dish was very flavorful. I like that you can customize your sides. The portions are very filling, so you are getting your money’s worth. The service was super helpful and friendly. Our server was attentive to refills and all of our questions. Would go again!
A nice Ethiopian spot in town with a good variety of dishes to try. The coffee is really good too. The price is high for students. The atmosphere is decent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Service can be a bit slow at times, and there’s definitely room for improvement.
Our family just went to Blue for the first time. My wife and I are both big fans of Ethiopian cuisine and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely great. If you love Ethiopian food like we do, you will feel at home and happy. If you have never tried it, this is worth the detour. We had the meat sampler plate as well as an additional plate with (not spicy) chicken, just to make sure the kiddos would enjoy the food, as Ethiopian food can be quite spicy. It was not, and they enjoyed eating all dishes. Big success! We will be back! (Also, new, they just started carrying wine and beer).
What a wonderful restaurant to have in town! The food was excellent; well-seasoned, hearty, and comforting. The shïro was so well spiced it was decadent with the texture if the injara. I appreciated the clearly labelled vegetarian & vegan sections. There were a lot of great options! The Ethiopian coffee was exquisite! A staff member roasted the beans at the back of the restaurant and brought the pan around for tables to see and experience the aroma wafting off the beans. When the coffee was served, she burned a small bit of incense right before the coffee was served. It was a great touch and deepened the notes of the coffee. I'm looking forward to going back!
I was very excited to try this restaurant since I hadn't tried African cuisine before. The waiter was very attentive. The atmosphere was great. It took a little while to get our food but it's understandable since this was opening weekend and there were many people. I ordered the vegan platter and my husband got beef. My dish serves 2 people and has beers, lentils, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and a fresh salad, all served on injera bread. The bread was soft and tasty. This vegan platter is served at room temperature. Prices were a little high in my opinion. I wish them long term success!
