Indian Chaat Café

Great, quick spot for take out Indian! As vegetarians we ordered samosa chaat and chole bhature with mango lassi. We could alter the spice level and everything was very flavorful. The chaat full of all the classics and the bhature was fluffy and delicious. What stood out even more was the friendly service- he was very helpful, considerate, and welcoming. We will definitely be back! Not a sit down place- can only accommodate two people sitting.

We ordered Samosa Chaat, Hing Kachori, Pav Baaji, and Spinach Onion Pakora. All the items were delicious and spiced well. Owner is from West India (Bengal) and super sweet. Store also provides complimentary chai - a nice warm treat in the Central IL winters while you wait for your food. Store also has a few high top / bar style seating but the place is mainly designed to be to-go. Excited to try the entrees (rolls and Biriyanis) next time!

A welcome addition to the Indian culinary scene of Champaign! Delightful chaat and snacks, mains are very good as well. I particularly recommend the Dal tadka - easily the best Dal I've had outside India! Portions and pricing is also par for Indian restaurants here. No seating, so it's takeaway only. But you get your food very quickly, <10 minute wait every time. Interiors are very clean, it's clear they take hygiene seriously. As always with Indian food, expect extensive vegetarian options too.

Everything was amazing! Super fresh, flavorful, and tasted completely homemade. The host was so kind, and last time I visited they had free chai available, which was such a nice touch. I thought the portions were great, especially the chicken biryani. It came with three big pieces of chicken and lots of perfectly spiced rice. The pani puri was so fun to eat, super crispy, and came with plenty of puris, filling, and tangy water. The samosa was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and perfectly balanced in flavor, not too spicy and really delicious. The mango lassi was thick, creamy, and refreshing. I will definitely keep coming back!

I came for the first time and ordered a take-out. The man at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed their veg pakora. It was filled w lots of vegetables and very little dough. They also have all you can drink masala chai for $0.99. Great value! Definitely will come back and try their other dishes!
