The Scratching Post CU

i absolutely adore the scratching post. overall, it’s very clean, cozy, and welcoming. they obviously put a lot of care into the cats. their board game library is extensive. the seating options are lovely. there’s even a nice spread of little trinkets, drink, and snack options. plus, i like that they’re open from 2-10pm, five days a week!

On a whim, I stopped by to check this place out with a friend. We hadn't had the chance yet, and the opportunity just presented itself. We didn't have a reservation for the cat room, but we were able to have a drink while we sat by the window, looking at the cats from the gaming side. It's a great space, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I'm definitely coming back with a group of friends to play games, and I will reserve a time slot in the cat room to check out all the wonderful cats. It is very clean and has a cool, trendy atmosphere. Great prices on drinks/snacks. Highly recommend!

All right, Champaign...it was worth the wait! Went to the Scratching Post today to visit some beautiful kitties. It was a blast! All of the employees were kind and informative. They had a decent selection of drinks and food for reasonable prices. The whole place was spotless and the cat area is state of the art, for sure. I'll be taking any of my visitors here, because it is such an awesome place! I have visited many cat cafes, and I am so proud to say that my town now has one of the best ones I've been to. Great job!!

Reserved time during the age 18+ hour for a date night. Very chill environment, nice snacks, and a gorgeous room that was built with knowledge and understanding of cat behavior and needs. It was very cute decor as well. We'll definitely return for both the cat room and to try out some board games. Beware that some cats are thieves. Photo is of the cat that stole my seat and my jacket. Luckily, they accepted pets as trade for the return of my goods.

I am SO impressed by this business! Humans *and* felines are spoiled here! The cafe in front is gorgeous and ultra cozy with nice drinks/snacks and a wall of board games. More importantly, the set-up for the cats in the back room is beyond thoughtful; clean, comfy and with ample sleeping nooks and play structures(cat run in the rafters!). While the goal is to find the kitties forever homes, they all seemed quite comfortable. I enjoyed a hot mug of tea while waiting for my reservation and then had a blast playing with a few energetic kitties while my friend enjoyed a good cuddle. Warm, knowledgeable staff to boot! WOW!
