The food was great. The vegetables were fresh, and the chicken was savory. There are too many choices on the menu. It's hard to decide what to get. There was plenty of staff working in the kitchen and behind the counter. The atmosphere was not the best. It has a small eating area with several tables. And the bathroom is right in the middle. When I go back, and I definitely will because the food is good, I will take my food and find a nice bench. Anywhere but in the dining area. Honestly, I was expecting better. This is downtown Ridgefield...
Very easy location to get to. Staff was very nice. My wife ordered the Carna Asada and someone was on it in a heart beat. I order soft shell tacos with the pulled pork. What a great easy meal. Definitely puts the big companies to shame. Plan on going here more often than not. With it being in downtown Ridgefield easy to walk across the street to get some ice cream. So by all means come check out Baja Cocina.
Great place for a meal of for a quick afternoon snack. The street corn is authentic and the tacos are really good. IMO the chips could use some salt.
I ordered a shredded chicken bowl to pick up. If I was in ordering and saw that the chicken was plain without any seasoning on it, I wouldn’t have chose it as a meat and would have picked something else. It was chewy, and tasted like it was boiled and didn’t have any flavor or spices on it. The rest of the bowl was ok, just left something to be desired for $15.
This is hands down the worst Mexican taco joint I have ever been to. Location is great but the food is horrible. Ceasar Salad, $8 and was soggy and not crisp and not dressed w Ceasar salad dressing. Could not finish. Carne Asada, $23 was so tough, not flavorful and fatty. The rice was so bland. The refried beans were disgusting. Again could not finish. Chicken Enchiladas, $18 was bland and spicy at the same time. Chicken had no flavor at all except it was spicy. Think only spice. Again rice was flavorless and refried beans were nasty. Ordered a few other items too but none were great. I dont see the appeal to this place except the location. So many other Mexican taco places around that are far better. Including Chipotle and that isn't saying much.
