Angelo's

Angelo’s in Gluckstadt is just solid all around. I started with the garlic bread and marinara, and it was perfect — warm, buttery, and full of flavor. The spaghetti and meatballs tasted homemade and comforting in the best way. Matthew took great care of me throughout the meal. He was attentive, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience smoother. If you’re looking for a spot with great blue plates, Italian, pizza, burgers, and BBQ, Angelo’s is an easy recommendation.

I was going to eat in here after unloading at the building behind the restaurant but I was rudely told to figure it out when I asked for a couple of cars to be moved from the back of the building so no.... I will not spend my money here. Your staff needs a lesson in southern hospitality and working with others. Took twice as long to back our semi truck in to the dock because it was too inconvenient to move a couple of cars a few feet over. Too bad cause their food smells good. But oh well.

I ordered a pulled pork salad. It was okay until I bit into a chunk of the pork and found a bone. It was about a quarter inch by quarter inch. Pretty large bone. I mentioned it the the waitress. She said she would let them know. I didn't expect any compensation for it, but no one the manager or cook ever came out to apologize for it. To me that's lousy. Also there a bit high on their prices.

I have been to Angelo’s probably 5 times in the last 2 years. It has been quite good every time I have tried it. It is a relaxed, blue-jean wearing, 80’s music playing sort of BBQ-Pizza-Italian serving place (literally). It’s nothing fancy, except the food is much better than you might expect from such an unassuming establishment. The Mac-and-cheese bites are a go-to app for me. The chicken parm and Angel hair pasta are also my go-to. The tomato gravy is excellent! I’ve never had to wait, usually always able to be seating quickly.

Very overpriced and they forget things a lot on to go orders. Forgot the salad last time we ordered to go, and tonight forgot our cheesy bread. Overpriced for not much food especially appetizers, $14.50 for the cheesy bread they forgot. The size of a regular piece of toast.
