Sal & Mookie's - Madison

We had a great family dinner at Sal & Mookie’s in Madison. Everything came out fresh and tasty, and there were plenty of options for both adults and kids. The kids loved their cheese pizza and hamburger, and the portions were perfect for them. My husband ordered the Greenwich Village sandwich, which was a great vegetarian option and full of flavor. The Alfredo was creamy and comforting, and the focaccia was a nice touch. We also enjoyed dessert afterward—the ice cream and waffle cone were a hit. Our server, Elizabeth, was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a fun, relaxed place for a family meal, and we’ll definitely be back.

My friend had a gift card so we went here for first time. The service was EXCELLENT thanks to Carmen. She was amazing and so attentive and friendly!! We couldn’t have asked for a better server or server. The food was average. I had the turkey burger which was okay; on scale of 1-10, a 6. My friend had the eggplant panini which was pretty dry…. I think there should be some marinara or something with it. I forgot to take a photo of the turkey burger and fries but did take photo of my friend’s panini. Overall, the food was okay. I enjoyed the service and atmosphere most. I love that they have a bar and another very nice dining area. They also have a large selection of ice cream with topping’s. I highly recommend visiting this location!!

We dined in recently after this establishment (Madison location) being recommended to us by a coworker. The restaurant was fairly busy as we entered and we were ushered to another room that was empty by a super nice hostess. We were sat and other parties began to come in. Our waitress took our orders etc. After another party was seated(this made four parties in this room now) she looked at the hostess and said don’t give me anymore parties unless there are six or more and no kids. I was shocked as all of the parties in this room had kids. If we weren’t invested and had already ordered our food, we would have left. A great pizzeria! Handmade pizzas, excellent crust and all the toppings. Great service, full bar, good beer selection and ice cream treats as well. Even when crowded service is good. This is a great place for a party in the side room or to disappear at the bar. The park avenue is a great white pizza. The green goddess salad dressing is the best salad dressing ever created. Think ranch, but with flavor!

My first time coming into this place was amazing! It has this nice Italian fine dining ambience. It really made me feel like I was at home. When I first sit down a gentleman, greets my table very respectful & attentive. Great service off the record ! Than I ordered this lovely panini, I believe they call it the “Tony Montana”. It Was WONDERFUL, very flavorful & the dressing they put made the whole sandwich! It wasn’t dry, bland, nor cold. & of course to top it off a one of the best Cesar dressing I’ve encountered. Salad was terrific! This is definitely a good spot to take the kids, or if you & your significant other are trying to go somewhere inexpensive but still nice dining. Come here you won’t regret it!
