My husband and I stayed here for our son's Coast Guard graduation. It was blocks away from the CG station, and the beach, plus easy access to restaurants. The B&B provided a tasty selection of pastries during tea time, and the wine and charcuterie options were awesome. The breakfast was excellent too, so basically your meals are covered! However, Michelle at the front desk gave us excellent suggestions for lunch, and she was amazing! Along with the rest of the staff who were also attentive, and friendly. We will definitely stay here again if in the Cape May area.

I stayed here at the end of January 2026 prior to graduation ceremonies for the Coast Guard. Even though they market and cater heavily toward romantic couples, I thoroughly enjoyed my solo stay. The staff was very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. They went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The food (evening and morning) was very good. I'd easily recommend a stay at Angel of the Sea to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in Cape May.

Pros-Close to the beach. Staff is great, knowledgeable about the building. Breakfast, sweet treats and cheese where also great. Depend on your room location its quite. They have board games to play while having cheese and wine. They have towels for the beach to use. Also have bikes you can use during your stay. |Cons- we were in room 11. No microwave, no frig so we eneded up throwing away our leftovers from dinner because we had no where to keep them cold. Shower was absolutely horrible. They need to make the ring bigger around the tub so the shower curtain doesn't stick to your body. You have no control of the heat or the air conditioner. You get fan and a space heater if you need it. Which to me isn't that safe. And if you need it dark to sleep like I do there are no black o

Positive: Location is great Negative: Room was literally cold. We were apparently expected to be satisified with a space heater. There were baseboard heaters in the room controlled by the mangement staff but were not turned on despite our request.

This is such a beautiful and stunning Victorian with a fabulous history! We had room 25 on the top of the second building — there’s a story about why there’s 2 buildings — and it is a gorgeous room with a beautiful wonderful, super comfy bed. Many of the rooms have a very interesting history and all are decorated beautifully with attention to the Victorian elements. The food is delicious and plentiful at breakfast, tea and the wine & cheese time. We will be back for certain. You cannot go wrong staying here!
